Místopředseda vlády a ministr obrany Martin Barták ocenil více než dvě desítky veteránů 2. světové války, osobností protinacistického i protikomunistického odboje a československého exilu.


Martin Barták předal dvanácti osobnostem Kříž obrany státu ministra obrany ČR, devět jich obdrželo vyznamenání Zlatá lípa ministra obrany ČR a pět Čestnou pamětní medaili k 91. výročí vzniku Československé republiky. Několik vyznamenání bylo uděleno in memoriam.
