Renault's artillery tractor project, when the company built two prototype vehicles. It was a direct competition of the Laffly V 10 M wheeled tractor in the competition for a light tractor for 25 mm anti-tank guns modelle 1937, or it was to be used for towing supply trucks as well. One prototype was tested at the turn of 1939/40 in the 72e BAF (Fortress Unit). Although there was satisfaction with the type, the rapid turn of events in 1940 made mass production impossible.
