132mm M-13 missiles:M-13 missiles: M-13 (index 53-OF-941, ballistic index TS-13) M-13UK (index 53-OF-942, ballistic index TS-53) M-13UK-1 (index 53-OF-948) Basic tactical and technical data of the M-13 missile : 132mm caliber Length 1465mm Stabilizer span 300mm Weight of fully assembled missile 42.36kg Combat weight 21.3kg Weight of explosive 4.9kg Rocket motor weight 20.8kg TPH weight 7.05-7.13kg (depending on production run) Engine burn time 0.7 seconds Line exit velocity 70m/s Maximum speed 355m/s Engine thrust 2000 kgs (1900 kgs for M-13UK and M-13UK-1) Active arc length 125m (120m for M-13UK and M-13UK-1) Maximum range 8470m (7900m for M-13UK and M-13UK-1)
The motor is packed with seven TPH tubular grains, contains a black gunpowder igniter and is fired by two PP-9 pyropatrons. The engines of the different versions of the missiles have slightly different nozzles and other parameters. The M-13UK rocket has twelve tangential holes (nozzles) in the front engine reinforcement through which some of the exhaust escapes and gives the rocket rotation, improving dispersion. To improve long-range dispersion at short and medium ranges, braking collars fitted to the front of the M-13UK rocket come in two sizes, a small 90mm diameter and a large 125mm diameter.
The shatter-tear warhead is initiated on impact by a GVMZ-1 fuze with the capability to be set for immediate (shatter effect) and delayed action (tear effect). The igniter is of the adiabatic, non-locked type (the firing of the adiabatic igniter is initiated by the violent compression of the air in the chamber behind the firing pin on impact of the missile). The basic setting is for instantaneous "O" action, delayed "Z" is set by turning the valve 90° to the right. The delay is 0,15-0,35 seconds.
