Vo štvrtok sa začalo stretnutie ministrov zahr. vecí krajín G 8 v talianskom Trieste na ktorom účastníci zaujmú jednotnú tvrdú pozíciu voči postupu štátnych orgánov Iránu v súvislosti s potláčaním protestov iránskej opozície.
