Ve středu 24. června 2009 navštívil místopředseda vlády a ministr obrany Martin Barták kontingent českých vzdušných sil v misi Air Policing.


Celkem 75 vojáků se čtyřmi letouny Jas-39 Gripen z letecké základny v litevském Šiauliai od začátku května chrání v rámci kolektivní ochrany NATO vzdušný prostor pobaltských zemí.
