RRH (zvukový zaměřovač)

Ringtrichterrichtungshörer
Zvukoměrná devices are known for quite a long time, but until WWI it was used by the army for surveying the flight of the aircraft and subsequent fire control. Germany used in WWI a smaller number of pieces and in the interwar period in the further work, the first mass-introduced system was a Sw 37, on which he later RRH. The principle was relatively simple, it consisted of two pairs of tubes which are zužovaly and led sound, with were rubber hoses that led into the headphones of the operator. A narrowing of the achieve a certain amplification and, for each pair (one was vertical and the other horizontal) was a one man operator who had the task of directing the unit in such a way that the sound is heard strongly. The horizontal tube were designed to determine the azimuth, of the vertical then, of course, to determine the angle of elevation. The range of the device was between 5 and 12 kilometers with an accuracy of 2°. The apparatus used for the whole of the war and even at the end, there were in the arsenal of a few thousand units, the enjoyment is mainly in mist and cloud, the used were for medium and heavy batteries Flaku. Along with them were used reflectors and optical rangefinders. The end of the war with the advent of faster aircraft, these devices have become increasingly less effective (due to the speed of sound is fast-flying the aircraft harder to focus – it needs to be a greater correction). Compared to the radar, had the advantage in the lower price and the attendant was commonly trained from the helpers Flaku, which were commonly people before joining the army (boys and girls) or on the contrary, people who for some reason in the army, nor do. For transportation are used the chassis of the Sd.Ah. 104 between which the two axes of the device zavěšoval like the Flak 37 caliber 88 mm.
