Praga/Avia S 360

The article "20 years of development of AVIA cars", published in the Slovak weekly Technical News No. 47/1979, shows that in 1959-1962 the S 030 medium truck was developed. It was designed by Praga. After the transfer of its development department to Avia, the development was completed (or terminated?) there in 1962. Similar information is contained in Emil Příhoda's book "Praga - Ninety Years of Car Production" (p. 241), with the difference that it is a unified military transporter designated S 260.

The type designation is therefore rather confusing, because, as has already been stated on this forum in the link to the Avia S 430, the S 260 designation refers to the OT-64 SKOT armoured personnel carrier.

In our case, however, it is an interesting design of a three-axle flatbed with a T928 engine behind the cab(!). The type designation is probably S 360. But it was at least conceptually related to the Skot. It was to be built in several pieces (3 ?), one chassis was to be handed over to Karos to be fitted with a box body. Supposedly, in some annual Karossa publication, a photo of this variant was published(?).

I only have a miniature simple tabular drawing from the aforementioned Technicals.

Does anyone happen to know anything more about this prototype - photos, parameters, drawing, etc.?

I contacted both Avii a.s. and Avii Ashok, and although the gentlemen were very helpful (Mrs. Koudelková no longer works there), I was only partially successful. I did get better quality side-by-side drawings, but it looks like there is unlikely to be any more information on S 360 (like photos, etc.) in the Avia Inc. archives.

I also found in Karos that 3 prototypes of the S 360 were supposedly produced in 1962, the first two with the S designation, the last with the J.

Unfortunately, no photos yet. That no one has anything?

Dear,
the military archives in Prague at the Invalides own several drawings of the company vysokomýtská Karosa, which 27.12.1960 filed a motion for the box version of the car Praga S360 SHA (staff bus).
