The gun is derived from the German machine gun MG 42. Changed is the locking system, where instead of rollers are used pads. Most parts are made semiproducts by chip machining. Pz MG 51 / 71 and Pz MG 87 are versions of a machine gun intended for lafetaci on the armour.
