DMG 2T "Elster" direction station


This "small" - portable directional station was manufactured by the company. LORENZ.



- Frequency band: 475 - 525 MHz
- The antenna consisted of a so-called "double tooth" and could be polarized horizontally or vertically.
The transmitter/receiver itself was right next to the antenna.


- Two men were assigned to transport her


- Weight: the whole set approx. 40 kg
a) transmitter/receiver block 10.5 kg
b) power supply unit 13.5 kg
c) accessories approx. 16 kg

Work with directional links began in our army after the end of World War II. The most useful decimeter stations were DMG 5K, ELESTER. Such a technique was concentrated in the years 1946 - 1948 at the company of special units of the 3rd Battalion of the 5th Liaison Regiment in Prague-Ruzyně.
