SOV/CZK - Antény pozemních leteckých radiostanic

Despite the fact that a number of "ground" aeronautical radio stations (stationary and mobile) were used, they were "sufficient" with a relatively small number of antennas.

The following photographs may help to facilitate orientation in the identification of the radio station used - it is mainly a distinction of the "older" generations, serving for the I. air band and the "newer" ones with the II. air zone.

The most common Soviet antennas were called "disco cones". They then had a "subgroup" of so-called folding, which belonged to the sets of radios of the R-809 series.

Domestic manufacturers of RTL-11 and LPR radios have developed their own antennas

The antennas, called spider antennas, are functionally designed with a sleeve active radiator and 9 counterbalance elements.
They are designed with respect to resistance in adverse weather conditions and therefore have the name:
Weatherproof antenna (ZA - x) and the band number for which it is intended).

ZA-1 ( 118 - 150 MHz )
ZA-2 ( 220 - 400 MHz )
ZA-12 ( 118 - 400 MHz )
