DEU/CZK - LR-16 (letecká radiostanice)

Funkgerät FuG 16ZY
Airborne radio LR-16 (FuG 16ZY)

The LR-16 airborne radio station was installed in the Czechoslovak Air Force in aircraft produced during the so-called wartime era and also in "post-war" modifications of aircraft (C-2, S-199, S-92).

Frequency range: 38.4 to 42.4 Mc/s (MHz).
(The band was referred to at the time as VVF (Very High Frequency).
There were other versions, differing in frequency range:
FuG 16Z: 38.5 to 42.3 Mc/s (MHz);
FuG 16ZS: 40.3 - 44.7 MHz.

The radio could be "pre-tuned" to 4 frequencies for fast switching by remote control.
(The channels for tuning are I, II, Δ, )

Types of operation:
A 2 (tone telegraphy)
A 3 (telephony)

The set formed a single unit with the S 16 transmitter block and the E 16 receiver block.

In the LR-16M version, it was fitted to radio vehicles such as RDV-10/16M

FuG 16Z: 38,5 – 42,3 Mc/s (MHz);
FuG 16ZS: 40,3 – 44,7 MHz.

U radiostanice bylo možné "předladit" 4 frekvence pro rychlé přepínání pomocí dálkového ovládače.

Druhy provozu:
A 2 (tónové telegrafie)
A 3 (telefonie)

Souprava s blokem vysílače S 16 a s blokem přijímače E 16 tvořila jeden celek.

Ve verzi LR-16M byla montována do radiovozů na př. RDV-10/16M

MNO - HŠ - VL vydal 9.10.1946 čj. 9162 Taj. let.1946 "Letová kontrola - organizace spojení".
Podle něj bylo stanoveno "ladění" VVF radiostanic. (LR 16 jako VVF I, TR 1143 jako VVF II).
-
VVF I - LR 16/FuG 16:
(Kanály pro předladění ozn. I, II, Δ, )

I :39,5 Mc/s
II :40,8 Mc/s
Δ (delta)42,3 Mc/s
 (kvadrát)

VVF II - TR 1143:
(Kanály pro předladění ozn. A, B, C, D)
A (6860)124,28 Mc/s
B (-)
C (6630)
D (6510)

Quote - Lom :

Thanks for the explanation.
But again, I still don't understand these numbers:

A (6860)124.28 Mc/s
B (-)
C (6630)
D (6510)

This is a "quotation" from that regulation and it states the frequency designations for the radio stations then in use.
(Our Air Force high command in the immediate post-war period did not know which direction the communications service would evolve - i.e. the VVF/VKV frequency bands.

In the spirit of the agreements and under the Kosice government program, it was to be like the Soviets...
The "decision" was awaited whether it would be "German" (38 - 42 Mc/s) or "Western" (100 - 150 Mc/s).

To explain:
VVF/UHF radio stations (TR 1143, SCR-522), but also their successors of "Soviet construction" VHF R-800/RSIU-3M, had the possibility to "tune" 4 frequencies in advance, marked with letters A,B,C,D (see TR 1143, SCR 522).These could then be switched in operation by buttons on the control box.

The radios were controlled by crystals (actually there were 4+4 = 8), numbered in the 6xxx series with a specific number for each frequency (incidentally for the R-800 up to 601 possibilities!)
Each rdst had 4 crystals for the transmitter e.g. "A" 6860) and 4 crystals (for the receiver ("B" 6860) - so the same number.
For the operation of "dispatch" (air traffic control) correspondence, channel "A" was designated at that time with a frequency of 124.28 Mc/s (MHz).

Díky za vysvětlivku.
Ale zas ještě nerozumím těmto číslům:

Jj - I had considered that it relates to VVF I - LR 16/FuG 16 because of the VVF II - TR 1143 is not discussed and so I neseplo.
Thank you for the clarification!.
