Panzertriebwagen Nr. 15
Originally a VT811 diesel motor car, which the German Railway Protection Service (Bahnschutz) equipped with light armor in the mid-1930s and used to protect railways. The motor wagon could also be used to tow classic armored artillery wagons.
03.08.1939 the motor car was mobilized and 01.09.1939 reached full combat readiness. It was deployed in France (May-June (May-June 1940) as a separate combat unit in 1940. October 4, 1940 it was demobilized, but the following year, November 21, 1941 it was mobilized again and from December 1941 (12/1941) deployed in the group Army Group "Central" in the USSR From March 1943 (03/1943) the wagon was deployed in the Balkans, operating there in the armored train No. 6 until September 1943 (09/1943). operated in the Balkans (since the beginning of 1944 in Greece) as a separate unit.From April 1944 (04/1944) gradually became part of the armored train No. 65, No. 23 and again 65.
