CZK/DEU - IFA W50 L/KKB-CH (chladiarenský automobil)

Among the mobile refrigeration vehicles used by the PRCS rations units was the IFA W50 L/KKB-CH refrigerated car, which was co-produced with the GDR. The refrigerated car up to 5 tons consists of a refrigeration plant built into the car's box body and the car's IFA W50 machine underbody. The thermally insulated car body is cooled or heated by a BJH 22 block refrigeration unit, driven by the car engine or an electric motor when connected to an external power source. The temperature in the refrigerated compartment is maintained automatically and continuously both on site and during transport.

The dust-tightness of the car's enclosure allows protection of the provisions when crossing infested areas.

The BJH 22 block refrigeration unit allows the car compartment :

- cool to a temperature of +5°C to -20°C at an ambient temperature of +35°C for the preservation of chilled or frozen short-term storable provisions.

- heat up to +8 °C at a maximum outside temperature of -20 °C, which allows protection of seasonal produce or other goods from freezing in winter.

T T D vehicles are fully identical to the IFA W50 L :

Capacity : 3500 kg
