wunderwaffen - "vortex gun"

Among the eccentric weapons that the Germans developed at the end of the war were "air cannons". One type was to fire a stream of compressed air (driven by a reactive explosion of oxygen with hydrogen) and the other, English. called a vortex gun was supposed to destroy aircraft by firing a "tornado". I would need advice on whether and how these two weapons are called Czech.

I briefly put together the text I had in the reader, with a paragraph by Ian Hogg - German Secret Weapons of World War II:
The whirling cannon was created by dr. Zippermeyer, an Austrian scientist, in an experimental facility in Lofer, Tyrol. Zippermeyer studied the effects of air vortices on the fuselage and therefore designed a generator of such vortices, working on the basis of explosions in the combustion chamber, whose pressure wave was directed by nozzles into the air. Coal dust was used to cause the explosion. Under ideal conditions, the model was able to crush a ten-inch board to a distance of 180 meters, but the prototype, built in real size, could not reach levels where it would achieve something. Film recordings of the model and its operation have been preserved. The range of the prototype was about a hundred yards, but a similar "gas-powered" cannon was to be used against the Warsaw Insurgents.

to Aubi: diky moc. Pokud tedy v prekladu pouziju oznaceni "virivy kanon", nesnese se na mou hlavu hnev poucenych odborniku?

I have a term from a book (quite good quality), so it certainly shouldn't. It's worse with a wind cannon, but I guess a translation other than a wind cannon is not possible.

Pro zajímavost pár adres. Takové ty působící serióznějším dojmem. ohužel, informací je relativně málo, takže stránky příliš mnoho údajů neposkytují.
Zajímavá je ovšem poznámka o tom, že vývoj zbraně na tomto principu pokračuje i v současnosti, v kategorii tzv. Non lethal Weapons, tedy neusmrcujících zbraní, zřejmě pro potřeby pořádkových policejních jednotek.
