V sobotu 15.3. 2008 došlo v Albánii na předměstí hlavního města Tirany k výbuchu v továrně na likvidaci staré munice - momentálně je potvrzeno 5 mrtvých a na 200 zraněných - předpokládá se, že ztráty na životech mohou být mnohonásobně vyšší (121 lidí).
