General Kārlis GOPPERS (L.k.o.k.) (2 Apr 1876 - 25 Mar 1941)
Served in the Russian Army, commanding 1. Latvian Rifle Brigade, 7. Bauska Rifle Regiment and the Reserve Rifle Regiment. Joined the Latvian Army as Colonel in June 1920. Arrested by the Russians in 1940, he was tortured and executed in Rīga in 1941.
