Rocket R-1 is the first ballistic missile developed in the Soviet union. It is built on the basis of the German A-4 (V-2) Sergei Pavlovičem Koroljovem (Сергей Павлович Королёв) in OKB-1 (ОКБ-1). The first rocket R-1 was launched from the polygon Kapustin Jar (Капустин Яр) on 10. 10. 1948.
