History: after Bloch MB.150 proved to be an aircraft completely unsuitable for serial production, it was necessary to proceed to a complete reconstruction of the aircraft airframe and another Gnome-Rhone engine was installed in this new airframe. The first flight took place in August 1938, then production began in five SNCASO plants and from December 1938 was supplemented by aircraft Bloch MB.152 C1, which were produced in parallel with the 151s. Unfortunately for France, production spewed serial aircraft, but many were without propellers, or were not machine gun sights, at the time of France's invasion of Germany, there were very few in combat-ready condition. By the end of November 1939, 358 aircraft had been produced, but no propellers had been mounted on 157 aircraft! Blochy also got into a fight with the German Bf 109E and they revealed one bad feature of Gnome-Rhone engines - low altitude, this engine was optimized for a height of about 3,000 m, while the DB-601 engine for 5-6,000 m. Small the range of these aircraft did not allow their departure for North Africa and so they became the armament of the Air Force in Vichy. Several aircraft also served in the Greek Air Force, but their deployment was marked by a lack of spare parts (now after the fall of France), nine machines served as a source of spare parts for about four remaining. Then the rest fought against Italian and German aircraft and were reportedly achieved a few victories. Another interesting thing, the Greek MB.151 had in their arsenal two cannons HS-404 caliber 20 mm with sixty grenades per barrel and two machine guns MAC 1934 M39 caliber 7.5 mm.
