7,62 cm Pak36(r) auf Sd.Kfz.7 "Artemis"
Sd.Kfz.7/5 (?)

There is minimal information about the design of this makeshift tank destroyer. The request for development was awarded on 14.8.1941 to the firm Alkett in Berlin. The prototype was to be completed probably in mid-1942. A modified Sd.Kfz.7 predatory divisional gun M 1936(F22) was mounted on the platform of the 8 ton artillery tractor M 1936(F22) - German designation after modifications as PaK 36(r). The machine was probably intended to be a competitor to a similar type 7.62cm F.K.296(r) auf gp. Selbstfahrlafette (Sd.Kfz.6/3), whose gun had a limited side-metering. The gun on the platform Sd.Kfz.7 was to be fully rotatable. The machine was partially armoured with light armour plates.
In published information it is attributed the name "Artemis".
The designation Sd.Kfz.7/5 is questionable. The source where this designation comes from is unknown to me.
One prototype was supposed to have been made, and according to Georg Parada (Waffen Revue No.87) it was sent to North Africa for tests. This too is questionable. Due to the lack of information and the absence of photographic material, this type is shrouded in a shroud of mystery.
