Medium tank M2
The M2 medium tank was simply an enlarged version of the M2 light tank, and also used a large number of its parts. Incidentally, the suspension system was directly based on the M2 light tank. However, the M2 medium tank had a turret with sloping surfaces, modified cooling vents and a modified differential housing. The positioning of the machine guns was somewhat unconventional. They were placed in the individual corners of the hull fighting compartment, this placement being based on the assumption that the tank would be able to conduct effective anti-personnel fire to all four cardinal directions, i.e. affect the firing perimeter of the whole 360 degrees. The tank was used only for training tasks.
