Fatáh al-Islám je palestinská sunnitská islamistická teroristická organizace. Narozdíl od své mateřské organizace je v ní kromě Palestinců zastoupeno i mnoho dalších národností. Jejími členy jsou vedle Palestinců hlavně Libanonci, Saúdští Arabové, Syřané, Alžířané, Tunisané či Maročané. Síla skupiny je odhadována na 200 mužů a to často vojensky zkušených z různých konfliktů.


Skupina je obecně považována za spřízněnou s Al-Káidou a spolupracující se syrskými zpravodajskými službami.


Za dobu vzniku je označován listopad 2006, kdy se Šaker al-Absí a skupina jeho spolubojovníků oddělila od skupiny Fatáh al-Intifáda.
