After the municipal school he started to study at the Real Gymnasium, and during his studies he was engaged in music and athletics.

1935 graduates from the Real Gymnasium

1.10.1935 joins the 2nd Battery of the 108th Artillery Regiment Hranice na Moravě

1.2.1936 lance corporal aspirant

1.9.1936 corporal asp.

15.9.1936 sergeant asp.

15.1.1937 transferred to the liaison battery 108.cannon. Regiment

1.4.1937 second lieutenant

29.9.1937 accepted to study at the Military Academy Hranice

14.8.1938 graduated, promoted to lieutenant of 108th Cannon Regiment

1.4.1939 discharged from the army

till February 1940 held clerical professions

9.2.1940 he crossed the border of the Protectorate and took the so-called Balkan route, through Slovakia, Maďaria and Beirut to France

30.3.1940 presented to the Czechoslovak army in Agde, assigned to the 3rd battery of the 1st artillery regiment

7.7.1940 transported on the ship Viceroy of India to England, assigned to the 1st Artillery Detachment

1.1.1941 with 1st Battery, 1st Troop

15.2.1940 Liaison Officer, 4th Battery

25.10.1041 lieutenant

June 1942 selected for Special Operations, gradually graduated from special courses, appointed commander of the Bronze Group with activity in the area of Jedovnice in Moravia

18.6.1942 sabotage course STS - 2 Bellasis near Dorking

12.7.1942 parakurz STS- 51 Ringway

27.7.1942 training station STS - 46 Chicheley Hall

24.9.1942 liaison course English manipulation London

27.9.1942 operated with appendicitis

6.11.1942 transferred to MNO, STS - 46 London

end 1942 sent to Bridgnorth Convalescent Home for post-operative treatment

14.3.1943 the group flew out for airdrop, they managed to fly over the Bohemian area but turned back due to bad weather. Equipped with a legitimation in the name of Bohumír Mrázek

15.3.1943 in the airspace of Augsburg near Munich the plane was shot down, B. Martinek died in the wreckage of the plane
