It differs from the pattern for men by the oval loop on the pommel and the hook on the guard for attaching the non-commissioned officer's portepé.
Straight blade of wedge cross section with a double-edged downward point, passing into a central point at the end.
Handle bristle, smooth, usually made of walnut wood, fastened with two rivets. Guard with ring and hook at lower end. Ring adjustable by screw. Oval loop on the pommel for fastening the non-commissioned officer's portepé.
Iron seam, black lacquered. Hook for attaching leather belt clip.
