AS-66 ( & # 1040; & # 1057; -66) - ambulance on chassis GAZ-66. It is designed for mass evacuation of the wounded and their transport in the rear of their own troops.
The ambulance consists of a unified K-66 box body ( & # 1050; -66), equipped with a filter valve, a heating device and an internal talking device (ore connection to the vehicle cab). In the superstructure it is possible to transport 387; 9 lying wounded on stretchers and 2 medical staff (+ driver and one person in the cab), or 15 seated passports. In the superstructure, the stretchers are placed in three rows next to each other and in three layers on top of each other, the place for the nurses is in the back. The superstructure also has handles for attaching medical equipment needed to transport patients (oxygen inhalers, infusion solutions, etc.) and fluid supplies.
