The personal aircraft of the Deputy Minister of National Defence for Air Force and Air Defense, Lt. Gen. Josef Vosahl

The aircraft was still without a tactical number.


On 12 October 1955 the aircraft was taken over
1 November it was assigned to VÚ5957 Kbely
On 25 November 1955 the passenger aircraft of Gen. Vosahl
19 February 1957 - assigned to VÚ 6354 i.e. 8.slp Praha-Kbely
29 July 1958 - assigned to VÚ 8257 i.e. 3rd Slp Brno
11 October 1961 - assigned to VÚ 7349 Piešt'any

The aircraft was exhibited in 1956 at a static demonstration during the Ruzyně Air Show, flown here from Kbel by Genpor. Josef Vosáhlo, it was his personal aircraft. The machine bore only Czechoslovakian insignia, otherwise it was free of any other markings.

Reconstruction of the MiG-17F from 1955-1957




If the aircraft was given a code in the period up to 30.06.1957, then I would expect a code :
1) Command Squadron MNO Air Force Command "L-xx" (formed as of 01.11.1954)
or
2) the PVOS Command Swarm "U-xx" (established on 01.03.1955).
It was formed from the essence of the abolished command swarm of the 15th Fighter Air Corps, and until 28.02.1955 it used the code "EL-xx").
