FuMG 80 Freya ( Funkmeßgerät) - German early warning radar operating at 125 MHz with a wavelength of 2.4 m. Manufactured (developed) German company GEMA, used since 1936. The radar was able to detect air targets at a distance of 120 km (max. 200 km).
The radar was used during the entire of the Second World War and as prey material even after the war ( designation in the Czechoslovak Republic RZ-III).
Tactical-technical characteristics:
Max. target detection distance: 200 km;
Frequency: 125 MHz
Wavelength: 2.4 m
Power: 15 to 30 kW;
Repeat frequency: 500 Hz
IFF operating frequency: 155 MHz (for connection to FUG-24)
Goal Detection Distance:
- 20 km (per aircraft at an altitude of 50 m)
- 30 km (per 100 m aircraft)
- 60 km (per 1 km)
- 120 km (for an aircraft at an altitude of 3 km)
