Peacetime deployment of the regiment in February 1914:
Commander - Oberst Johann Konschegg
Regimental Headquarters, I and III Battalions (Stanislau), II Battalion (Zaleszczyki), IV Battalion (Foća)
superior units: 30th Infantry Division (XI Army Corps)


Regimental status in July 1914:
Nationality: 72% Ukrainians, 28% others
replenishment district: Stanislau (now Ivano-Frankyvsk, Ukraine)


Regimental rank in August 1914:
IR 58 in the 22nd Infantry Brigade of the 11th Infantry Division (a division directly subordinate to the 2nd Army) - a regiment destined for the front in Galicia against Russia
