Michalovce



During the period of the First Republic, it was the seat of the political and judicial district.


The 1930 census: 11,602 inhabitants (of whom 7,614 persons were of Czechoslovak nationality, 467 persons of Hungarian nationality, 315 persons of German nationality, 192 persons of Russian nationality and 2,196 persons of Jewish nationality).


The settlement was established in July 1919.

For the needs of the army there was a command building on Staray Square and Infantry Barracks with warehouses
