A brief history of the
The leadership OF trying to introduce a full-fledged replacement for a truck Praga V3S, gradually tried different prototypes, for example Praga S-360 and S-430 and V6S later known under the name BAZ Devin.
In the first half of the sixties of the last century, the army asked the company Avia to launch the development of the middle field of the lorry. Because part of Avia was also a company of the Praga occurred to the development of the army's special in the design office. Since 1965, when it was officially launched the development, in 1971, was created six prototypes with different superstructures. On the development box versions participated vysokomýtská Karosa.

In the deposit of the Military technical museum in Israel is the stored prototype S430 in the execution of the flatbed. Dray was renovated by a Car With. In. And. and often paraded in the riding. It is claimed that in Israel there is still a box-type version. This statement is not photographically documented. In Slovakia in local VTM Piešťany is within close proximity of one chassis S430 without the superstructure. Years ago it was one a piece offered for sale. What happened to him is not known to me.
