The source below contains a photograph of text from the memoirs of Untersturmführer Klaus-Peter Schwab, adjutant of the 501st SS Kampfgruppe (schwere SS-Panzer-Abteilung 501), reporting to the commander Hauptsturmführer SS Rolf Möbius. In it he mentions that in 4/1945 he was posted to an Austrian factory in Speyer (probably a mistake, it should be Steyr). The text goes on to say that he took delivery of 10-12 (this number is doubtful) new Jagdtigers but not with the originally planned 12.2 cm guns (again, information is missing, they were supposed to be 12.8 cm guns) but with 8.8 cm guns.
The reader must make up his own mind about the credibility of these claims.

The source lists a position of 7-8 Jagdtigers in 4-5/1945. The fighters built were only awaiting delivery of the missing gun sights and were then to be accepted by the Ordnance Commission. However, they were not accepted and were not delivered to the combat units. Their fate was to be fulfilled on May 4, 1945, when they were destroyed by the German soldiers themselves before the Allied occupation of the factory.
