The first major Polish modification of the original English licensed tank Carden Loyd from 1930. After the purchase of 11 pieces of English machines and a subsequent license, a modification program was launched, which led ing.major Wladyslaw Treciak in collaboration with Sergeant Edward Karkoz and ing.Edward Habich. Minor adjustments were made, which, however, led to a fundamental overhaul of the English model. TK-1 was created together with TK-2. Both types were created simultaneously at the initiative of Polish military units at their request to modify the original structure at home. It was an open structure from above. The prototype was powered by an engine Ford T, the gearbox and the drive wheel were in the rear of the vehicle. The prototype, together with TK-2 participated in tests and maneuvers of the Polish army in 1930 and in a modified form (closed combat space) in 1931. The prototype received the registration designation [i ] 6006TK. TK-1 i TK-2 were eventually recognized as inappropriate and attention was focused on the improved TK-3. The prototype TK-1 ended as part of a memorial in front of the school of tank troops in the Modline. He stayed there until the German occupation, his further fate is unknown - he probably ended up in scrap metal.
