The Model 34 hand grenade is a grenade with an impact reaction fuze. It weighs 350 g and consists of 4 main parts:
1) the body of the grenade 2) the fuze 3) cartridge 4) fuse
And the function? Turning the ring 90° to either side breaks the wire, then the ring can be removed. After throwing in any way, the throwing safety is released (falls out), thus the grenade is 10°0% armed. Upon impact in any position, the inertia of the buckling overcomes the firing pin and the needle pierces the fuze, causing the explosion.
The pictures are from the 1937 NCO manual.

There was still one variant of this grenade, referred to as ORG vz.38 (not to be confused with RG vz.38) The body of the grenade was not made of thin sheet metal as in the RG vz.34, but thicker and connected by a fine internal thread- so the body of the grenade was smooth. The principle and function was the same as in the RG vz.34, the difference was only in the amount and size of the shrapnel.
