T-55AK
Soviet command tank T-55AK produced under Czechoslovak license.
The reworking of the Soviet license documentation for Czechoslovak production conditions took place between 1968 and 1969. Production at the ZTS Martin plants took place between 1970 and 1980 and produced a total of 1,280 pieces. 144 pieces were intended for the Czechoslovak Army, the remaining tanks were exported. Between 1968 and 1980, command versions called the T-55A (K1) and T-55A (K2) were produced for ZTS Martin for the East German army. 130 of these designs were produced.
The main tactical and technical data and the main principles of operation are identical to the basic type T-55A.
Differences from version T-55A:
- there are 26 rounds for the cannon in the tank, the number of rounds for the coupled machine gun remained the same
- a radio station is built-in R-130 with accessories
- built-in charging petrol-electric set NS-1250B to ensure continuous operation of the command radio
- on the tower is mounted a case with a 10 meter semi-telescopic antenna for the radio station R-130
- in the bottom of the hull is the outlet of the NS-1250B unit
