M29

The 81mm M29 mortar has a smooth bore barrel similar to the 60mm mortar, is loaded from the front, and serves as an indirect fire support weapon with a high muzzle angle. It consists of a barrel, base and bearing. Unlike the 60mm mortar, it is not adapted for firing ammunition from the hand, and there is no reason to do so. The M29 has a longer range than 60mm mortars and the circular base allows firing in a circular pattern.
