The project, which was created at the request of the French army for the development and introduction of a new tank to support infantry with the possibility of leading the fight against other tanks. The specifications were developed in 1919/20. The final specifications and the official declaration of bankruptcy were in 1921. Four companies with five prototypes took part in the competition.
FCM (Forges et Chantiers de la Mediterranné - automobilka Berliet) - FCM 21 Delaunay-Belleville Schneider-Renault (2 different prototypes SRA a SRB) FAMH (Forget et Aciéries de la Marine et d´Homécourt - Saint Chamond)
FAMH The prototype passed tests in 3/1925, but failed. The winner was Schneider-Renault typ A. However, these tests brought new demands of the army, which were to be reflected in a new type of tank called B. This whole program was a direct predecessor of later tanks B-1 ( B-1 bis, B-1ter).
