Mitsubishi 2MB2 Washi
三菱 鷲型試作軽爆撃機

History:
Japanese army air force in its specifications was required in 1925 a light bomber and was commissioned by the this requirement of three certified factories (Mitsubishi, Kawasaki and Nakajima). Factory Mitsubishi used experience Prof. Dr. Alexandra Baumann, from Germany suggested the project and in Japan, the designers Nobushiro Nakata and Satsuo Tokunaga have this project implemented.
The construction of the hull was all-metal and the wings have the design of the mixed. In the fuselage there was room for the pilot and behind him for the observer, they both sat in nezakrytých cabins. For its time, was the prototype of the Wash fairly heavily armed, the performances and the flight characteristics have also been on the amount of and so it was no wonder when he came out of the competition as the winner over two competitors, into mass production, however, did not get, because a priority is given to the second project of the same factory Mitsubishi 2MB1, which was conceived much more conservatives. This second aircraft got into the armament of the army air force as a light bomber Type 87. It should be noted that with regard to a conservative approach to its design was soon outdated..
