MTP-LB
The MT-LB armoured vehicle, based on the MT-LB transporter, allows for routine repairs and treatment of combat equipment in field conditions and, in an emergency, the evacuation of damaged equipment.
The frame superstructure on the front of the vehicle has a maximum load capacity of 1 500 kg. Unloading in position I is 2 150 mm, in position II it is 1 350 mm. The lifting height of the load is 3 600 mm (position I) or 4 200 mm (position II). The MTP-LB can also move with the load, with a maximum speed of 5 km/h and a lateral inclination not exceeding 5°.
After the collapse of the GDR and the subsequent reunification of Germany, these vehicles became an object of interest for the Swedish Army. The MTP-LB was scaled up and equipped to Swedish requirements at the former RWN repair facility. It was introduced into the Swedish army's armament in 81 units under the designation BgBv 4012 (Bärgningsbandvagn 4012).
