General der Infanterie Friedrich Herrlein Born: 04/27/1889 in Ehrenbreitstein, Koblenz Died: 28.07.1974 in Gießen nad Lahnom
Friedrich Herlein began his military career on March 3, 1910, when enlisted in the rank of Fähnrich in the 3rd Guards Infantry Regiment and was sent to the military school in Gdańsk (officer's course in the period 01.06.1910-28.02.1911 ) and was subsequently dismissed in the rank of Lieutenant (lieutenant from 20.03.1911). On February 1, 1944, Herrlein was promoted to the rank of General der Infanterie and at the beginning of the year he was also entrusted with the command of the so-called Festung Pillau[/i ] in East Prussia (Russian & # 1041; & # 1072; & # 1083; & # 1090; & # 1080; & # 1081; & # 1089; & # 1082 ;, Polish Pi & # 322; awa).
