In 1935, under the leadership of Major R. Gundlach, work began on the construction of a tank that would be able to run on wheels in addition to tracks. The concept was based on the American Christie tank. Compared to it, however, the Polish design was more sophisticated. The construction of the prototype began in 1937, but the first test drives took place in the summer of 1938, and it was demonstrated to the army command in May 1939. During the test runs, shortcomings such as small fuel tank capacity and inadequate fuel and oil filters were found, and it was even suggested that it should be further developed only as a tracked machine, as movement off paved roads gave it problems. All these requirements were to be incorporated into the design of the new tank 14TP. The prototype was probably destroyed before the arrival of German troops, nothing is known to me about its fate. The type was planned as armament for tank battalions in the so-called Oddzialow motorowych, each battalion was to have a company with 16 tanks.

The depth of the water is shown to 100cm, in the period march - April 1939 was the machine after driving about 2000 miles dismantled in order to be considered by the wear of the individual parts, according to some sources, was, perhaps, provisionally composed, for example, higher officers, but it's not it seems certain machine have probably never been put into pojízdného the state and the study of the knowledge of its operation should be afraid of used in the construction of the already mentioned 14TP. This machine (hence the 10TP binds one more interesting fact, the poles originally ordered and paid for in the US for Christieho the construction and delivery of one of his tank (probably a model 1931) documentation and a put option on the license. it happened in march 1930, unfortunately, the company the U.S. Wheel Track Layer Corporation in Rahway, New Jersey which was the bearer of the patents, and the supply of these machines tank or other items never has and machine, together with further sold to the USSR (thus a potential enemy) poles with her for several years tried to agree, but to no avail, meanwhile, purchased a license from Vickers (later according to her, did 7TP) and in 1932, perhaps getting some documentation from Christieho of the company. Then it is followed by a private Polish development as has already been mentioned.
Add a few pictures on this interesting tank..
