Cadillac Cage LAV-300

The vehicles were developed as part of its private initiative by Cadillac Gage (now Textron Marine and Land systems) as a complementary vehicle to the 4x4 range. The prototype has been tested since 1979 and serial production has been going on since 1982.
The driver sits in the left front of the body, the engine compartment is on the right front. The swarm space is occupied by the rear of the vehicle, the swarm enters the vehicle through a two-part door at the rear of the vehicle. Above the swarm area there are ceiling hatches. The vehicle is fully amphibious, while the movement in the water is ensured by wheels. A winch (9072 kg) is often installed at the front of the body.
