History
Neighbouring Poland in the period between the world wars by any sympathies towards Czechoslovakia nehýřilo, however, from the year 1929 in CZECHOSLOVAKIA, to act representatives of the Department of Uzbrojenia of the Polish ministry of defense on the purchase of the licensing rights to produce the army pistol vz. 24. Due to the amount of the required rate and the indecision of the Polish party, whether to introduce a pistol or revolver has been negotiating in the 1930's ended.
Irrespective of these talks, Poland in 1929, has decided to purchase a gun vz. 28 in the caliber of the 9 mm vz. 22, produced by the Czech Zbrojovkou in Strakonice, for the needs of Straže Granicznej. The gun was in Poland introduced as Κριτικη automaticzny wz. 28.
The design of the weapon was based on army pistol vz. 24, from which it differed mainly handle extended about 14 mm and a capacity of the stack, plus one charge. New were also bakelitové handles with pressed Polish eagle. The weight of the weapons increased by 25 g. Some guns have been adapted for the deployment of wooden butts.
Gun vz. 28 were Poland ordered in three doses: in the year 1929, it was ordered and delivered 730 pieces (of which 230 ks with stock) and 20 000 rounds of ammunition vz. 22, in 1930, was delivered to 1’000 weapons and 5’000 rounds of ammunition and, finally, in march 1931 the last dose of 800 weapons and 55 000 rounds of ammunition - a total of 2 530 gun vz. 28 and 80 000 rounds vz. 22.
Design
Gun vz. 28 is a self-loading weapon with a locked finally. Stimulus device is a single acting, bearing manual páčkovou fuse, and the automatic stack fuse, which did not allow a shot without zasunutého the stack. The conclusion is locked by rotating the main, in the podkluzu turning that about 60°. Bullets are stored in the odnímatelném schránkovém the stack, stored in the handle of the pistol. Sights are fixed, open.
Some guns should be on the back side of the handle groove for the deployment of a wooden rifle that also served as a holster weapon.

Markings
Gun vz. 28 bear on the upper rib end standard description of ČESKÁ ZBROJOVKA a.With. In PRAGUE and the manufacturing number of the weapon; the other production numbers were located in the right front part of the frame, to the left on the cover plate spoušťového gear and from underneath the barrel. The production numbers were in the range of 1 to 3388. It is possible, however, that has not been used all the numbers of the series - missing 115 the numbers of the series, however, they could also be weapons allegedly taken by the czechoslovak gendarmerie.
The gun, which entered the czechoslovak Financial guard, are to the right above the střenkou marked by the letters F.S. under which was the acceptance mark..
