Diskuse

The anti-tank gun could be discussed (with a wink) in this case in the context of the cassette version. It was indeed intended for coffers, where it functioned more like an anti-tank weapon in the absence of special PT armament. Only 5 pieces were used to arm the coffers at the Hochwald (two main guns each at B 3 and B 16) and Hackenberg (one gun at B 25). The ammunition allowance for the casemate guns was 1500 rounds per barrel.

Another 4 casemate guns were used at Billig Fortress (objects B 4, B 5) to cover the hilly landscape on both wings of the fortress. Fires were directed towards the neighbouring forts of Hackenberg and Métrich, replacing the 1931 guns on the northern boundary (SE Maginot Line). 4,000 rounds were fired.

The turret design of the gun was the same and the subsidy was 4000 rounds per barrel.

Dear colleague,
I have taken the liberty of merging the text from two columns into one.

The topic has been moved from the factual section to the "footnote discussion" section.
