During training, Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) with the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) Carrier Strike Group crashed the plane Hawker Hunter Mk.58 reg. N338AX, v. no. 41H-697452, belonging to the Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC). The Pilot ejected and was rescued by helicopter from the Helicopter squadron of naval combat 6, however, is seriously injured. The whole event became about 115 miles south of Point Loma, California
