The project of a fast tank of weight category 16-ton designed for cavalry units from 1939. The tank was to have a powerful cannon and heavy armor and was at the end of 5/1940 ready for large-scale production in the United States. The condition, however, was to reduce the number of crew members from three to two. The form of DAC 1 is known only from a simple sketch. The tank was also known as "Somua z Billaancourt". It was a combination of the name Somua with its registered office at Renault (Billancourt). The reason is unknown to me.
