Destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG-62) at half past three in the morning local time collided with the philippine merchant ship ACX Crystal in the Philippine sea, 56 nautical miles southwest of the japanese city of Tomo. The place went to the american request of the cutters of the japanese coast guard Izunami and Kano along with the aircraft of the coast guard and a helicopter of the japanese navy. The destroyer suffered damage on the starboard side in the space above and below the surface, part of the ship is flooded. The vessel is able to sail on its own power, but only with limited power. The place is headed destroyer USS Dewey (DDG-105) along with the tugs. One sailor was helicopter transported to jokosucké hospital. He should be the master of the ship frigate captain Bryce Benson. The transport of a second is preparing. Several of the sailors is missing.

no není, GRT (resp. po našem BRT) se prý už moc nepoužívá, ale také je to prostorová jednotka (1 G/BRT je 100 ft³)


co se týče kontejnerových lodí, u těch se nejčastěji uvadí kapacita v TEU (což je označení pro standardizovaný kontejner ISO 1C, 20 ft ～ 6 m)
