Ankara broke off cooperation with the other member states of NATO and countries in a military partnership with the alliance. The reason for this are said to be the culminating diplomatic disputes with the Netherlands and Germany. From unofficial sources, quoted by the Reuters news agency, Turkey has blocked some of the events planned for this year, including military exercises, political events or execution of civil projects
