In 1937/38 a prototype of an armoured vehicle designed for reconnaissance in cavalry and artillery units was built at Zbrojovka Brno. It was built on the platform of the ZV all-terrain vehicle. An armoured body made of 5-8 mm armoured plates was mounted on the platform. The crew cab was armoured, the engine had a standard sheet metal fairing. At the head of the superstructure was a ball-bearing lafetta, into which a ZB vz.26 light machine gun was lafeted. The engine was a special feature. It was a two-stroke engine, which was used by Zbrojovka Brno as the first in Europe (in 1924). Its use in armoured technology was rare. The prototype passed the tests with satisfactory results, but it did not see serial production.
