During osláv 72. výročia Slovak národného povstania the president of the Slovak Republic Andrej Kiska promoted to generálskej rank two účastníkov Slovak národného povstania: colonel v. v. Ľudvika Šesták and posthumously to lieutenant Michael Peter.
