PASUV is an abbreviation - a complex automated field command system for troops ( complex of automated automated military control systems - PASa[/iSmile. The MP-31 vehicle is part of the ASV Manevr (Maňovr), which is designed for the level of the regiment-division.

The higher ASVs are marked as Centaur ( Kentavr) - Army and Redut ( Редут) - front.

The entire ASV, which includes the MP-31, consists of several vehicles and is divided into 3 subsystems - all-army subsystem (vehicles MP-21 and MP-31 with various equipment), subsystem missile and artillery (vehicles MP-24, 9V514 Beta-3 ) and the PVO subsystem (vehicles MP-22, MP-23 and MP-25). Individual vehicles within the subsystems differ in other indices depending on who they are intended for, resp. depending on their equipment, as technologies developed rapidly during their deployment and were introduced into the system on an ongoing basis.

Vážení,
podle seznamu kódů sovětské techniky, kolujících na internetu, bylo velitelským strojům MP-31 přiděleno armádní označení: 1V31 - mašina upravljenija (1В31 - машина управления, МП-31).

To what buko said here:

1) The MP-31 was part of the PASUV field command system. MP-31 was to serve as a command post:
- tank regiment commander (or motorized rifle regiment)
- his deputy and the chief of staff (or the chief of staff of the motorized rifle regiment)

Other vehicles of the PASUV system were intended for commanding the units of the military air defence system.

2) So far I have not come across any information that BMP-1KŠ/KŠM was used in our country, so I would agree with Palic with the identification of these photos

3) The PASUV is probably all a Soviet invention. Individual vehicles of this system were probably produced only in the Czechoslovakia, the BLR and the USSR. I would see it as most likely that, based on Soviet documentation, a certain type of vehicle was produced in each country (CSSR - MP-31; BLR - MP-21, MP-24; USSR - Beta-3,...), which was then exported to other Warsaw Pact states.

Please,
stop provoking. Everybody.

I've been busy for 11 months now, gathering background information for an article on PASUV. Currently, with the help of a former MP-24M vehicle chief, I have partially processed the artillery vehicles, and with the help of a juton, I have processed the air force and air defense vehicles. I have the MP-31 processed to 99%.

As far as VHM Piestany is concerned, the vehicle photographed by buko1 is BVP-1K according to the accession book. The vehicle was delivered to the museum from Dubnica nad Váhom with the fact that it was a prototype of the command vehicle BVP-1KŠ. But according to the serial number which is scratched out it is a reference sample, made in Russia in November 1982, serial number is 9786, but so far I have not been able to identify the manufacturing plant because the scratching is very strong in this part of the serial number. The MP-31 vehicles were supposed to be produced in the Czechoslovakia as part of the delimitation of the production of the individual PASUVs. However, according to the internal equipment and apparatus, as well as the consoles left over from the special equipment, those who know it have stated that it is an MP-31.

In addition, VHM has one more MP-31 vehicle, but it is absolutely "plundered".

There is also a BETA-3M vehicle in the VHM, but it has been dismantled of its computer complex, as well as its external equipment and gear.

I would say that there are very few photos, and what I have managed to get hold of is in black and white, and the quality corresponds to the time and conditions of its creation (too rigid secrecy).

Unfortunately I can't get in touch with the former PASUV chief who is abroad.

The big unknown are the regulations and any documentation. I have searched in VAAZ, in Liptovský Mikuláš, also in the former apprenticeship in Nové Mesto n. Váhom.
Nothing !

Moreover, the people who served at PASUV were mostly discharged from the army (for various reasons) and so many have no desire to even pass on information.

I got information that in 1992 PASUV was liquidated by commission in the furnaces of Třinec Ironworks.

More up in the article.
