I would like to ask for advice. Currently I am trying to supplement our family tree and in connection with this, I would like to tried to ascertain the fate of the měho great-grandfather Josef Jelínek, nar. 18. 9. 1886 (allegedly, found from the book of births) in Suchdol (if Sukdol, German Sukdoll) for Kunžaku (then Kumžak, German Königseck)in the district of Jindřichův hradec (German Neuhaus). Was drafted, served in a Zigzag to the army, and should be declared as missing or fallen between the years 1916 and 1917 (but take it with a pinch, the only me about it once she told grandmother(his daughter), but it has again just of telling his mother because of her then 2-3 years). Furthermore, I know that had allegedly come down in a place called Cerkev (also of narration), the Tserkva or perhaps White Cerkev (but the power of certainty, I do not have).
Unfortunately, the more of it I do not know. Probably just the name of his wife (my great-grandmother) and their date of marriage.
I have already some archives have passed, but either I can't search, or I'm looking in the wrong archives.
Can be used with these data to trace some details, such as rank, affiliation to the unit, or at least the date and place of death?
Of help thanks in advance.
PS. I still try to view his picture. I remember that his image visíval in their house..
